The Nagato City Film Commission accepts inquiries and cooperation requests for filming in Nagato City at any time. To make a request, please read the following “Items to be confirmed” in advance, fill out the “Application for Filming Support” form, and send it to our office by fax or e-mail, attaching a proposal and other materials that show the details of your filming project. Also, please call us after sending the form for confirmation.

Important items to check when requesting location assistance (Important)

1. When applying, please appoint a person in charge of negotiations with the Nagato City Film Commission and clarify the point of contact and responsibilities.
2. During location scouting and filming, please take sufficient care not to disturb the lives of residents living in the vicinity of the site.
3. If there are any cancellations or schedule changes for filming on location, please contact the Nagato City Film Commission as soon as possible.
4. We will cooperate in recruiting extras, but please ensure the safety of extras involved in location shooting, purchase insurance, and take responsible measures in the event of an accident.
5. Please take all possible safety measures to prevent accidents or problems during filming. In the event of an accident or trouble, it is the responsibility of the filmmaker to take appropriate measures such as resolving the situation, and to contact the Nagato City Film Commission as soon as possible.
6. The name “Nagato City Film Commission” should appear in the end credits of the film. Similarly, please list the names of cooperating facilities, etc. (after obtaining permission from the facilities).
7. After the location filming is completed, please promptly restore the facility to its original condition and report to the management (facility owner, etc.).
8. Please provide still photos taken on location (showing filming equipment and staff). We may use them to publicize your film on the Nagato City Film Commission website, etc.
9. It is our policy to do our best to meet the needs of all filmmakers, but we may not be able to fully meet all requests depending on the shooting conditions. We appreciate your understanding in advance.
10. We believe that a relationship of trust is important. If the above is not adhered to, or if the Nagato City Film Commission deems it inappropriate to continue location support, we reserve the right to discontinue location support.

The Nagato City Film Commission (hereinafter referred to as “City FC”) requests that all filmmakers understand the following items before using this service. Please note the following points.

1. The City FC will not cooperate with or support works that have a political or religious agenda, or that contain content offensive to public order and morals.
2. If any fact is found that differs from the contents of the Request for Photography Assistance Form and Confirmation, we may refuse to cooperate or assist in any way in the future.
3. City FC will not be held responsible for any damage caused by the content of the cooperation and support.

Cooperative support for Nagato City FC

The City FC will provide cooperation and support in the following matters

• Provide information on location scouting
• Providing information on applications for permits and licenses
• Provide information on extra staff support groups, etc.
• Provision of information on accommodations, box lunches, equipment rentals, etc.
• Publicize the event to the extent possible by distributing posters, flyers, etc.
  *But only if the event has a city FC credit inserted or is sponsored by the city.

 City FC will not cooperate with or support the following

• Assistance with production costs, provision of goods, purchase of tickets, etc.

About Filming

1. When filming, please consult with the management of the facility to be used and comply with their instructions. After filming, please restore the facility to its original state as soon as possible.
2. When filming, please take care not to interfere with the lives of residents living in the vicinity of the site.
3. In the event of any trouble with the facilities used or residents living in the vicinity, etc., please take appropriate measures to resolve the problem, and promptly contact the prefectural FC, etc. If any damage is caused to a third party, facility, or property, either intentionally or through negligence, please take prompt action to compensate for the damage or otherwise deal with the situation.

Other

• The name of the City FC (or Nagato City) should appear in the end credits of films in which you have cooperated or provided support, as well as the names of cooperating facilities or organizations, if requested. In the case of TV programs or commercials that do not include end credits, please cooperate in promoting Nagato City by displaying the name of the location as much as possible.
