YUKUTE Rental Bicycles
You can rent a variety of different types of bicycles at YUKUTE, the Senzakitchen Roadside Station's tourism information center, which opened in April, 2018.
- City Bike
- If you just want to casually cycle around, pick a city bike. It's a standard bicycle with a large basket to hold your things.
Price: 800 yen (Full day) 500 yen (Half day/4 hours)
- Hybrid Bike
- This sporty bicycle is somewhere between a road bike and a mountain bike. It's a comfortable option for long-distance cycling.
Price: 1,000 yen (Full day) 600 yen (Half day/4 hours)
- Children's Mountain Bike
- Although designed for children, this is a genuine mountain bike with eye-catching thick tires. It's the perfect bicycle for children to enjoy cycling together with their parents.
Price: 600 yen (Full day) 350 yen (Half day/4 hours)
- Electric Assist Bikes (Child seats available)
- With this bicycle's electric assist, you'll be able to ride uphill with ease. Models with rear-mounted child seats are available, too.
Price: 1,500 yen (Full day) 800 yen (Half day/4 hours)
- 2-Person Tandem Bike
- A tandem bicycle lets two people ride together at once, pedaling in unison. In Yamaguchi Prefecture, tandem bicycles were approved for use on public roads in 2018!
Price: 2,000 yen (Full day) 1,000 yen (Half day/4 hours)
- *Deposit: 1,000 yen per bike (Refunded when the bike is returned)
- *We do not rent to groups consisting solely of elementary and junior high school students. Please be sure to use our services together with a parent or guardian.
- *We may ask for ID when you rent a bicycle. Please present something with your name and address, such as a driver's license, insurance card, or student ID.
- *Guidelines for children who can ride electric bicycles with child seats: Height 70 cm to 90 cm / Weight 8 kg to 15 kg

Nagato Blue Ocean Ride
What is Nagato Blue Ocean Ride?
The Nagato Blue Ocean Ride is a cycling event that takes participants around scenic spots in Nagato, like the beautiful cobalt blue Sea of Japan off of Yamaguchi Prefecture's San'in side, and the Higashi Ushirobata Rice Terraces, which have been selected as one of Japan's 100 most beautiful rice terraces.
There's also a a “train course” available, allowing you to return by train with your bicycle.
Delicious local food will be prepared and served at each end point.
This cycling event allows you to enjoy spectacular views and delicious food!
