◇The start and goal is “Renessa Nagato” (10818-1 Senzaki, Nagato City).
Method
The start time, course, aids, etc. may be subject to change.
Measurement
This event is a cycling event and is not a competition for time or ranking, so no measurements will be taken.
Car type:
Any type of car is acceptable. Please use a bicycle that you are used to riding.
Participation using rental bicycles from Tourist Information Center YUKUTE is also available (cross bikes, electric-assist bicycles, children’s mountain bikes). Those wishing to rent a bicycle should apply at the time of entry. However, availability is limited.
◇Equipment
1. Participants must equip their bicycles with front and rear brakes, a bell, reflectors (tail lights acceptable), lights, and other equipment required by law for riding on public roads. Additionally, wearing a helmet and gloves is mandatory for safety.
2. Bicycles equipped with aero bars or aero bar-only setups are prohibited.
◇Bicycle Inspection
All participants must have their bicycles inspected at a local bicycle shop prior to the event.
An inspection certificate will be sent by email along with participant information in advance. Please have your bicycle inspected at a bicycle shop and bring the certificate to event registration.
◇Items to Bring
Please be sure to carry a flat tire repair kit, drinking bottle, rations, tools, small change, and a copy of your health insurance card. A cell phone is also recommended. In addition, please bring rain gear and any other items you deem necessary.
Precautions for driving
1. This event will be held on public roads with no traffic restrictions. Please obey all traffic laws and regulations as well as traffic signals.
The course includes some tunnels. Please be sure to turn on your lights when passing through.
The course is narrow in some sections. When passing or passing each other, please do not drive too hard, and be sure to pass safely by pulling out or letting other vehicles pass ahead of you.
4. The leader should never overtake the lead staff.
5. There will be no mass start with all participants. After completing registration, participants will proceed to start check and individual start within the designated time. Starts will not be in bib number order; priority starts are available for those who request them based on age and ability.
6. Ride on the left side in a single file, in groups of five or fewer.
If you are unable to complete the race within the time limit, or if the organizer determines during the event that there is a problem with the continuation of the event, please immediately follow the organizer’s instructions to stop running. The organizers plan to set a passing time limit at each aid point. Please follow the organizer’s instructions for safety management and event operation.
Cheering vehicles are not allowed to enter (accompany) the course. If a cheering vehicle is found entering (accompanying) the course, the cheering driver will be disqualified from the competition.
The use of aids by non-runners is prohibited.
If you must retire for any reason, please notify the event staff and follow their instructions. If you retire without notifying us, the race headquarters may contact your emergency contact to confirm your safety.
In the event of a traffic accident between participants or with other vehicles, please contact the event headquarters and staff immediately and follow their instructions.
12. Participants who do not comply with traffic laws, safety instructions, or staff directions will be immediately stopped from riding and may be prohibited from participating in future events.
◇Consideration for Local Residents
The cycling course uses roads that are part of local residents’ daily lives. Please be mindful not to ride too fast when passing through narrow roads. Additionally, please take home all trash you bring, such as snacks and plastic bottles, in a plastic bag. As cyclists, please be sure to cooperate in environmental conservation.
◇Handling of Entry Fees
1. No refunds will be issued for any reason after payment of the entry fee due to personal circumstances.
◇Other
1.Participant information will be sent to the e-mail address* registered at the time of registration. In the event that the event cannot be held as scheduled due to inclement weather or other reasons, the organizer may, at its discretion, change the course or cancel the event, in which case the organizer will also contact you at the e-mail address* registered at the time of registration. (*This information will be sent from k.sports@city.nagato.lg.jp. Please make sure that you have set up your domain name to receive emails from this address.) If you do not receive an e-mail, or if you have any questions, please contact the secretariat below.
Substitute runners other than the applicant are strictly prohibited.
3. First aid will be provided for any accidents during the event, but we will not be responsible for any subsequent treatment.
The organizers will provide one-day recreation insurance for all event participants, but will not be responsible for any further compensation. If you are concerned about the coverage, we recommend that you purchase your own insurance.
5. Bicycles and accompanying equipment are to be managed at your own risk. The organizer will not be responsible for any theft or damage.
In the event of a flat tire or other malfunction, the rider is responsible for repairing the tire by himself/herself. (Please carry tire levers, spare tubes, pumps, and necessary tools.)
The organizer’s staff (including staff riders, support bikes, and support cars) may charge a fee for repairs. Please pay at the finish line. Some types of breakdowns cannot be repaired.

■About application
* Applications will not be accepted after the maximum number of participants has been reached. If a deposit is received after the maximum number of participants has been reached, it will be refunded after deducting the expenses related to the return of the deposit.
*Participants are responsible for handling fees and other expenses related to the application.
Cancellation is not allowed after the entry is completed.

Applicants must agree to the following application terms before registering for this event.
1. I correctly understand and will comply with all information stated in the event guidelines when participating in the event.
2. I will have my bicycle inspected at a bicycle shop prior to the event, confirm that it is properly maintained, and submit the inspection certificate at registration.
3. I have no heart disease or other illnesses, am mindful of my health, and will participate in the event at my own responsibility regarding injury, illness, accidents, or loss.
4. In the event of an accident in which I am the victim or perpetrator, I will handle it at my own responsibility regardless of the cause and will not hold the organizers or related parties liable in any way.
5. If I am injured or become ill during the event, or if aftereffects occur as a result, or if I die, I will not seek compensation beyond the insurance coverage provided by the organizers.
6. I have no objection to receiving first aid if an injury or illness occurs during the event. I will not hold the organizers responsible for the method, process, or outcome.
7. I will not request a refund of the entry fee in the event of cancellation due to personal circumstances after entry is completed, or if the event is canceled or reduced due to bad weather, earthquakes, accidents, incidents, illness, or other reasons.
8. My family, relatives, or parent/guardian (if I am a minor) have consented to my participation in this event.
9. I consent to the use of photographs and names of participants taken during the event in advertising and media coverage related to the event.
10. The organizers will handle participants’ personal information in strict compliance with laws regarding personal information protection. Personal information will also be used for future participation announcements for cycling events hosted or co-hosted by Nagato City.
